Environment and Forestry PS Dr. Chris Kiptoo was at Bomboo area in Kaptagat Forest to flagged off cyclists participating in the #Cycling4Forests race, to crown the week-long, Kaptagat Annual Tree-Planting event.
The elite cyclists and amateur groups are participating in a 74km race, from Bombo to Chepkorio in Elgeyo-Marakwet County.
The aim of the race is to raise awareness on the need to conserve the environment, and ensure a clean and healthy environment for sporting activities.
