he Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Programme (KICP) is turning its 10–20 Vision into action through the rollout of a clean cooking energy initiative across Kitany, Elgeyo Border, and the Elgeyo Forest Block.
Working together with the NOC, KICP has begun beneficiary training and the distribution of LPG cylinders to households, helping families transition to cleaner cooking solutions. The initiative supports sustainable livelihoods, reduces dependence on firewood, eases pressure on the Kaptagat Forest Ecosystem, and contributes to improved health, environmental conservation, and climate resilience.
