Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Programme (ICP) continues to support transformative education initiatives across the North Rift, with the ongoing development of Kimore Boys Senior School marking a major milestone in expanding access to quality learning.

During a recent site visit to Kimore Boys Senior School, progress on key infrastructure projects was assessed, including the construction of modern classrooms, student dormitories, an administration block, and a state-of-the-art multi-purpose hall. The institution is steadily taking shape as a comprehensive learning environment designed to support holistic student development.

Kimore Boys Senior School is a trans-boundary public institution serving learners from Uasin Gishu County and Elgeyo Marakwet County. With a national outlook, the school is poised to enhance access to quality secondary education not only within the region but across the country.

The school is on track to admit its first Grade 10 students in January 2026, enrolling the inaugural cohort of Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) candidates. It will offer all pathways under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), supporting the government’s transition to the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework and equipping learners with practical skills for the future.

As Patron of the School, appreciation has been extended to key partners whose support has been instrumental in driving the project forward. These include the Ministry of Education Kenya, M-Pesa Foundation, Co-operative Bank of Kenya Foundation, National Irrigation Authority, Kenya Pipeline Company Foundation, KCB Foundation, and the Kenya Forest Service, among others.

Looking ahead, continued collaboration will be key to completing Kimore Boys Senior School as a centre of excellence in education. Recognition is also given to the leadership of Andrew Tanui and the Board of Management for their commitment, stewardship, and vision in advancing this important institution.

Through investments in education infrastructure and strategic partnerships, Kaptagat ICP remains dedicated to empowering future generations and strengthening sustainable community development.
