The Head of Public Service and Chief of Staff, Felix Koskei, together with CS Debra Barasa (Forestry) and several Principal Secretaries, led a corporate tree-planting exercise at Kiploiti Subcompartment, Kipkabus Forest Block, under the 9th Edition of the Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Programme.
State agencies, partners, sponsors, and community groups planted 34 hectares of trees to support H.E. the President’s 15 Billion Tree Initiative, advancing Kenya’s journey towards 30% tree cover, restoring watersheds, and supporting livelihoods through agroforestry.
They afterwards visited Simotwo Boys High School to check on the preparations for hosting H.E. the President on 12th July 2025 during the official ceremony for the 9th Edition of the Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Programme.
