Dr Chris Kiptoo  oversaw the distribution of the improved dairy cows to the community members of Kaptarakwa Ward in Keiyo South at Kiptulos Secondary School through the support of WWF Kenya. This initiative is part of the Kaptagat Conservation  and Livelihoods Improvement Program launched by H.E. the President  in August 2024 during the 8th Edition of Kaptagat Forest Restoration Program.

This initiative aims to foster both environmental sustainability and enhance the livelihoods of local communities. By empowering our local communities with improved agricultural practices and resources, we pave the way for a sustainable future, where both our communities and the environment can thrive together.

During the event, he was joined by Hon Wisley Rotich, Governor of Elgeyo Marakwet County, Hon William Kisang, Senator Elgeyo Marakwet, Hon Gideon Kimaiyo, MP Keiyo South Constituency, Mohamed Awer, CEO of WWF Kenya, Sasha Chepkoech, the six-year-old Green Ambassador and several MCAs.
