Preparations for the 11th Edition of the Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Programme (KICP) are gathering momentum ahead of the event scheduled for 10–11 July 2026 in Kaptagat, Kenya. On 12 June 2026, KICP Chairman and CEO hosted Chief Conservator of Forests Alex Lemarkoko for a reconnaissance and planning visit to review key activities, including the marathon route design in collaboration with Golazo, tree planting sites in Kapkoi, and preparations at Kaptarkok Primary School, the venue for the main celebrations. The visit also marked the commissioning of a modern biogas system at St. Agatha Mokwo Girls Secondary School, supported by Kyoto Energy, reinforcing KICP’s commitment to sustainable conservation and community development within the Kaptagat ecosystem.
