On April 24, 2026, key national leaders joined conservation efforts at the Run for Oloolua, a 10km event held in Oloolua Forest, one of Nairobi’s most important green spaces. The run was graced by Patron Dr. Chris Kiptoo alongside Principal Secretaries Ephantus Kimotho Kimani, Patrick Mariru, Festus Ng’eno, and Korir Sing’oei.

Oloolua Forest plays a vital role in environmental conservation, serving as a water catchment area while supporting biodiversity, tourism, recreation, and cultural heritage. The initiative focused on raising support for fencing and protecting the forest from encroachment and degradation.

The event highlighted the power of collective action in preserving natural ecosystems and reinforced the commitment of stakeholders to safeguard Oloolua Forest for present and future generations.
