KyoGreen is a valued partner of the Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Programme (KICP), contributing to climate-smart solutions through innovative carbon credit initiatives and sustainable forest restoration in the Kaptagat ecosystem. By leveraging its expertise in green financing and carbon offsetting, KyoGreen collaborates with KICP to develop verified carbon projects that promote the rehabilitation of degraded forest areas across Sabor, Kessup, Penon, Kipkabus, and Kaptagat forest stations. This partnership supports the generation of carbon credits through afforestation and reforestation, providing local communities with access to sustainable income streams while enhancing biodiversity and watershed protection. KyoGreen also assists in capacity building for Community Forest Associations (CFAs), helping them engage in carbon market mechanisms and long-term conservation efforts. Together, KyoGreen and KICP contribute to Kenya’s ambitious goal of growing 15 billion trees by 2032, while strengthening climate resilience in the Cherangany–Elgeyo Hills water tower region.
