Education remains the foundation of empowered communities—unlocking opportunity, restoring dignity, and creating equal pathways for every child. This vision was at the heart of the 3rd edition of the Mokwo Hope Run held in Kaptarakwa Ward.

The event brought together national and local leaders, partners, and community members in a powerful show of unity to promote girls’ education, healthy living, and environmental conservation. Hosted at St. Agatha Mokwo Girls Secondary School, the run underscored the importance of investing in education as a driver of sustainable development.

Among the leaders in attendance were Felix Koskei, Ann Wangombe, Julius Korir, Gitonga Mugambi, Wisley Rotich, and Gideon Kimaiyo, among other stakeholders committed to community transformation.

Through the Mokwo Hope Run, a renewed commitment was made to restore St. Agatha Mokwo Girls Secondary School to its former glory—strengthening infrastructure, enhancing learning conditions, and empowering girls through access to quality education.

The day’s activities will culminate in a public engagement forum and the awarding of winners from the cross-country event, celebrating both athletic excellence and community spirit.

By integrating education, health, and environmental conservation, Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Programme (ICP) continues to champion holistic development—building resilient communities and creating brighter futures for the next generation.
